The following is a list of committees that are open to all members of the association. All committies report to the Board of Directors and meet as needed. Please contact the HBAA office if you are interested in joining a committee. Home & Garden Show-February 9, 10 & 11, 2008 This committee works on development & coordinating Anderson County's Largest Trade EXPO! Chairman: Mr. Tim RobertsGolf Tournaments-Spring Golf Fri., April 20th & Fall Golf Fri., September 14th This committee coordinates the sponsors, food, beverage, & supplies for both events. Chairman: Mr. Jim MarkleyLegislative- PAC -Governmental Affairs-Monitors Local, State & Federal Legislative issues concerning the construction industry. Works and coordinates the Build PAC for both local and state. Chairman: Mr. Dwight EdwardsFinance-Budget and Investments. Monitors the monthly, quarterly, and annual finances of the association and makes recommendations as needed. Chairman: Mr. Ken HicksMembership-Recruits new member, monitors retention. Schedules and coordinates membership drives/activities. Chairman: Mr. Dwight EdwardsPersonnel-Committee reviews HBA staff performance and reports back to the Board of Directors. Chairman: Mr. Allen ParnellCommunity/Charity Program- Events -This committee coordinates the community events for the HBAA. 2007 Chairman: Don ChapmanOyster Roast-This committee coordinates the sponsors, food, beverages, supplies and cooking for this event. This is the 10th year for this which is one of the HBAA's most popular events. The event is held on a Saturday in November. Chairman: Mr. Jerry TrotterHBAA Scholarship Program-Committee reviews and sets Scholarship guidelines. Reviews all essay work for recommendation for Scholarship awards. Chairman: Mrs. Colleen AllisonHBAA Website Development-Committee works on the development of the HBAA website. Chairman: Mike Hunt |
